Scott G. Turner, M.D., earned a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from Cornell University and subsequently completed a three-year fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his Neurology residency at SUNY Stony Brook. During his Neurology training, he developed a specialized interest in the treatment of brain and spinal tumors, leading him to pursue a fellowship in Neuro-Oncology at Duke University.
He founded and served as director of the Neuro-Oncology programs at the Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania and at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Kansas City. Since moving to California, he has worked at the University of California, Irvine, and with the Pacific Neuroscience Institute. He has actively participated in clinical trials throughout his 14-year practice, serving as the principal investigator on several and a co-investigator on many others.
