Cambia Rome, M.D. grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area then later moved to attend DePauw University in Indiana, graduating with a degree in anthropology/sociology and geology. She then graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society.
 

After graduating, Dr. Rome moved to Seattle to work as a surgical resident at the University of Washington for two years before moving back to California and completing a residency at UCSF Fresno in general surgery. During her residency, she received awards for her laparoscopic skills including 2nd place in the Intern Laparoscopic Bowl at University of Washington and 1st place at the Northern American College of Surgeons (ACS) Lap Bowl. Dr. Rome also received a Certificate of Excellence in Medical Student Teaching. After her residency in general surgery, she completed a fellowship at Yale School of Medicine in endocrine surgery. Dr. Rome presented her research on enhanced recovery after endocrine surgery at the 2024 ACS Clinical Congress and International Surgery Week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
 

Dr. Rome is a proud member of the ACS and American Association of Endocrine Surgeons. When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Rome enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with her family.
